Beginner’s Level in Vocal Techniques- SPEECH

Course Format

Overall Duration: 4 weeks

No. of classes: 8 of 60 min each

Frequency per week: twice

To lay the foundation & not as a part of the main syllabus:

Mention of and quick run through of scales, pitch, octave, rhythm, tempo.

Syllabus

  1. Muscle Relaxation Techniques

  2. Breathing Techniques

  3. Voice Anatomy-Breathwork Machinery, Vocal Dynamics Machinery (basic) with Aerodynamic Theory

  4. SOVT Exercises

  5. Tongue & Palate Exercises

  6. Sound Exercises

  7. Reading & Intonation Exercises 

  8. Voice Strengthening Exercises

Improvements will be progressively assessed with a reading or speech activity.

Assessments

4 Formative Assessments       :  40 marks (mandatory for all enrollments as it improves understanding of voice exercises)

Pre-final Assessment               : 25 marks

Summative/Final Assessment: 35 marks​​

Certificate and grade provided to those who apply for it. Others will receive a participation certificate.*

  • Knowledge of the language of speech

  • Should preferably be a former VOXCOACH Beginner’s Level Student (optional)

At this end of this training, the student will be able to:

  • develop an understanding of how to use the resonant areas of the vocal anatomy, for vocal resonance

  • understand and apply vocal projection

  • develop an understanding of vocal registers

  • Apply taught knowledge

Targeted Short-term Training

​

This training specifically focuses on select, target areas of voice such as breath control, volume, tonal clarity, etc. which are mutually decided by the prospective student and the vocal coach. It is completely tailor-made for a particular song or genre, or speech or any other voice related requirement, and the training is aligned to meet associated goals.

 

Course Format

  • Training is one-on-one and either face to face or online.

  • One area will be covered during one session.

  • The total no. of sessions depends upon the no. of areas fixed
